SO can't go a day wo a health complaint

My partner can't go one day without talking about a pain , ache. I have jaw problems, now he does. His mouth was open too long for tooth removal. Or, its his constant back problems. Spasms. Insomnia. I've been hearing this for 25 yrs.
I asked if we can go one day without him talking about his health. He can't. He does have problems.

I have health anxity and this is severly affecting my mental health. I asked him can we go one day. He said not if his tooth hurts. I try to tune it out. If he dies, he dies. He smokes and has barrett esophagus and drinks booze.

My wife of 36 years now aged 80 has sunk away into the world of self-pity with aches and pain by the score.
Plus fast approaching senility/dementia.
Treats me like servant/slave, not a spouse. Needs constant attention.

But yes, 'If he dies, he dies' . . . you get to that stage.

Bear with it, try to remember the good times.
Try to find time and space to keep yourself sane and maintain a balanced view. Not easy.

He pays rent and bills. Id be in trouble if he died. But I'm still sick of it. You have my sympathies. I sometimes think he does it on purpose. He also abuses prescriptions
