As I said, regardless of their glowing commercials and magazine articles, they don't care. (n/t) OldBaldy1701E Mar 7 #5
Oh, and the fact that they want us to care about their 'economy' or their whatever is so laughable. OldBaldy1701E Mar 7 #6

Psychiatrists that saved my life. Told me I had a couple of learning disabilities that I had no idea about and a PTSD I also didn’t understand. Told me if I went back to college and sat in the front row, I’d get all As. He was right and I did. Even got degrees in Clinical Psychology and Anthropology. That was pure luck finding him, or did he find me?

Paying for one is. And, they only offer the same options that are always offered. Basically, if you don't have money, you don't get decent care. You get a 'feel good' option that has no issue tossing pills down your throat but won't do much else.

Mental health is the most screwed up aspect of our healthcare system and it is because they don't want to admit to too much. If they do, then so many people would have a legitimate (in their eyes) reason for SSDI and other type things. The powers that be cannot accept that. So, they downplay it and offer insults disguised as 'help'. They don't want to help you. They want you to either go make them richer or go die. Period.

all the mental hospitals and replace them with the prison system.
Insurance and even Medicare only pay for one visit a year.

"We won't do a thing for you, but you'd better get out there and do everything for us! Or ELSE!"

THAT is the way of things.
