Keto diet observation and question

The ONLY thing that I find difficult about Keto is eating enough fat without overdoing it on the protein. Unless I really, really try hard, I eat more of the latter than the former every day. And I know that isn't good.
Any thoughts from you who have done this successfully?
I know all about fat bombs and bullet proof coffee, but If I add those to my diet, my calories sky rocket and at 67, too many calories is NOT a good thing. I know by eating sardines for supper, I can keep the protein and fat more in line, but dayum, that gets old quickly.
I also don't do the heavy cream thing for the same reason(as much as I love it). The calories outweigh the benefits.
Thanks for any insights.

Which is healthy fats, vegetables, protein and fruit. Yes there is healthy fat to fuel the body but our bloodwork numbers improved following this plan. It was recommended by my doctor.
