I have them in the crock pot cooking away. When they've cooled, I'll assemble them. Yum.

Flat bread is so easy to make, I will never buy it again. Just flour, baking powder, a little melted butter and salt, then enough milk to make a dough. You roll it flat and then cook it in a frying pan like tortillas.

8. I used a recipe, this will make 5 rounds

1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour (white or whole wheat)
2/3 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup milk
1/2 tablespoon butter, melted
Enough olive oil to fry on each side

I have made them twice now and wonder why I didn't try it before.

And I also printed it out. Might try later today.

Flatbreads, around here, are way too expensive. $3.99, I think, for a package of four.

12. It was the expense and the leftovers that finally compelled me to make them at home.

For the two of us and this recipe makes just enough bread to enjoy as sandwiches and with hummus for one meal.

Before I always had left over bread in the freezer and it really just isn't as good reheated.

This way is so easy, really and who doesn't love fresh bread? I am glad you are going to try it.

Since it is just me cooking for me, do you think this dough would refrigerate (seems like it would since pizza dough does) or should I half it?

I love to refrigerate yeast bread dough, I think it gets better and it so convenient to make a quick pizza crust or rolls.

But I am not sure about this dough. Here is the website I got it from, you can adjust the recipe size with the Servings tool under the ingredients title. http://www.food.com/recipe/Indian-Flat-Bread-274537

As you can see, I didn't exactly follow the recipe, as I just wanted a plain flat bread that didn't use yeast.

Nice infusion of Vitamin B. We don't eat it often, a few times a year, but it recharges the batteries.
