scrambled egg bowl with broccoli, peppers, onions, cheese, and some hot sauce/ketchup.
I have to take medicine in the morning with food, so breakfast is really new for me (since I was a kid)

(35,835 posts)I have to have my breakfast in the car on the way to school when I teach this class that starts at 7:20 a.m. Instead of buying individual yogurt containers, I buy a premium vanilla yogurt and mix from fruit with it myself. It's far better than the pre-mixed.
Today I mixed in raspberries and sprinkled some toasted almonds over it.

(10,291 posts)I used to get the stoney field farm 'banilla' yogurt or the french vanilla and do the same thing.
In fact, now that the weather is warming up, maybe I will start doing that again...

(35,835 posts)And put in in a smaller container for traveling to school. I like it better 'cuz I can leave some room at the top (fewer spills).
Yep, it's a terrific spring/summer breakfast!
I look forward to making my own tomato juice for breakfast. I do that when my tomatoes start coming in.

I used to add processed nut milks but I stopped doing that and now only use water and ice.
Also nuts are great but pay attention to the portion size as you will blow your calorie limit with a surprisingly small amount. That plus you need a really good blender (vitamix) or you will be replacing your current one rather quickly.

Our blind kitty, Little Stevie Wonder, loves to lick the bowl when I'm done. He comes running when he hears me scraping up the last of it from the bottom of the bowl.

(2,674 posts)I don't like eggs and was not a big breakfast eater until I retired. Now I can't go unless I have something. My favorite breakfast is plain yogurt with chopped (what ever is in season) and two pieces of mega grain bread, dry toasted. I am eating low fat Brown Cow yogurt and it is good, but Mountain High yogurt is better, but my store stopped carrying it. Brown Cow carries a cream top yogurt that is to die for, but too much fat and calories to eat all the time. I only buy it when the low fat is sold out (please Cox Farms - sell out of the low fat yogurt!). -

I am processing a crop of leeks from my garden, and that means I'll be making vegetable broth for the freezer this weekend. Excited about that--I have a collection of Anna Love's broth recipes.
But this morning I saw some of the leeks which had been cleaned yesterday, and thought to use them in the subject line breakfast dish. Leeks can be so tender and delicious.
In addition, my chorizos was cooked in a slow-cooker yesterday, so it was also tender as can be.
