Cucumbers and red onions in a mixture of Guatamalan crema, mascarpone, and 1/2 & 1/2.
Roasted beet salad with pecans and tossed greens.

(11,667 posts)Halal chicken, garlic, ginger, Thai peppers, tikka masala paste, fresh garden veggies and skinned tomatoes, cooked down in a wok until very thick, served with naan, cilantro, lime wedges. Basically a very spicy stew.

(2,016 posts)OK, it's not in a pot. But the chuck roast is in the oven with the usual suspects: onion, carrots, potatoes, and sitting on a bed of smashed garlic (one whole bulb). I may steam up some green beans too, just to have another color on the plate.
ps: New "modem" day. My cable company sent me a new one - which was defective. So, had to drive to the local store and get me a new "new" one. All works now (and 3x faster speed), but what a PITA!

(46,312 posts)First time making the recipe too. Have been looking for an excuse to make it and found it: $7.00 of wild mushrooms on sale at green grocers for $1.59. (No, they were fine, not slimy, etc.)
