Grilled romaine salad. Over the top of the grilled section of the salad, is more romaine, only sliced. It is mixed with apple and mango. On the side are pumpernickel cocktail breads spread with gorgonzola and topped with a thin slice of apple. Also creme fraiche.
Tiny pumpernickel sandwiches made with CookieNotti and creme fraiche.
Because it is a very cold day, I know the RG has something hearty planned for the main course, but I dont know what it is. It is still marinating in a container in the frig. It is pork chops, Italian sausage, and zucchinis, all put together but I dont know how hes going to make it.
I also see roasted yellow fingerling potatoes and haricot verts.
For dessert, chocolate chip ice cream topped with CookieNotti.

(2,016 posts)with mushroom risotto. Steamed broccoli, too. I was too lazy to go out and buy some fresh asparagus today.
(*) I'm reminded of that dinner scene from "An Officer and a Gentleman": "This chicken dish is great! What do you call it?"
"Chicken bake. (Like, duh.)

(17,520 posts)I'm thinking an open face turkey sandwich, with whatever sides still remain in the refrigerator.
I am procrastinating dealing with the turkey carcass. Lots of meat and plenty of bits and bones for stock. A nearly 20 pound bird and there were just 5 people. We sent a lot home with our guests, but the picking needs doing.

We don't like to call each other "husband" or "wife." There's just something about it that doesn't fit us.
I'm glad you read the post daily!
