A cat has been rescued after squeezing into a hole in a wall five years ago and getting stuck.
The cat called Biso was apparently unable to extract itself from the cavity which was in the Mohamed Naguib metro train station in Cairo, Egypt and remained there for five years.
Biso, who got stuck in 2010, is said to have survived the prolonged entrapment because an elderly man called Uncle Abdo fed him scraps of food each day as well as giving him water.
Uncle Abdo said the cat had used the hole as a hiding place from bigger cats as a kitten when he had also fed it and it must have eventually grown too big to come out again.
