woke up with harvey at my feet for the first time this morning

he loves, but he doesn't snuggle, and the bed seemed to be outside his territory. he curled up at my feet last night and was there again when i woke up this morning. the dim one was on the other side of my legs and they both seemed perfectly content. waking up with them next to me was such a wonderful feeling.

now if i could just get him to clean the food off his chin, messy boy

I adopted an adult cat, Sebastian, estimated age 3-5 years old. He started sleeping at my feet but only after the lights were out and I was asleep. I never saw him get up on the bed but he was there in the morning.
Later he slept next to my legs.
He kept creeping up. At some point, he was sleeping around my head. Around six months before he passed away, he used to lie down on my pillow, above my head, and pat me on the head.
He was a terrific boy and I still miss him.
