i'm taking the boy to the vet on friday (and a general update)

he was sneezy when we brought him home and, at his checkup, the vet said it was likely due to a nasal spray they gave him at the shelter. well, it's been three weeks and he's still sneezing and now the dim one is, too, so it's back to the vet.

i'm not horribly worried, but it's been going on long enough that it's time to get him checked out.

other than that, things continue to go well. he is a vocal boy who loves his soft food. not yet a cuddler, but he has started sleeping at my feet. he's learned his name and he and the dim one are pretty well comfortable with each other.

well, other than this......

(before you judge me as a horrible hoomin for taking pics rather than breaking it up, they're both declawed and i knew he wouldn't escalate it)

here he is telling me what my priorities should be

I hope that this sneezing is nothing to be concerned with. Three weeks does seem like a long time for it to continue.

And I would never judge you for not breaking up a fight---my Sammy and his new "friend", Leila, do not get along very well and there is extreme hissing fights often here. I just ignore it, because I have found that there is never any harm done. All hiss, no bite.

and someone would win and someone would lose. New cat has been here since December, it is time to decide things.

I have always had two cats, and never have had this much noise.

One of mine sneezes at certain times a year. She's doing it now so maybe spring allergies. As long as they are eating, using litter box and sleeping normally I don't worry too much.

i'm just a bit concerned because it's unlike the dim one to be so sneezy. he sheds like a beast, so maybe that's what the issue is for both of them.

i know i'm being a worrywart, but i still walk around feeling like i didn't do enough for my fat cat and i know i'm overcompensating for that.
