Please support the Hearing Protection Act of 2015

https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/3799/text

Gun controllers often say how they would like more European gun laws, I think this one would be great. So far, this bill has 22 sponsors and a companion bill in the Senate. Write your congressional representative and ask them to support H.R. 3799.

Man! That "silencer" is cheap. Love to have a cheap one for my .270 so my 24 hour ring won't get worse. I think the prices are grossly inflated.

2. Easier way to silence guns with greater public support; Pass bills pushing for strict bans.

Protects more than just hearing, too.
Can't make gun noise if you don't have any guns.

... and you don't seem to have a "real world" Plan B.

So until you do, and have more than a handful of supporters for it, we'll just keep moving ahead and watching the violent crime rate fall year after year.

President Obama has repeatedly lamented this phenomenon, as well as acknowledged the impossibility of passing new federal gun control legislation while emphasizing he has no desire for strict bans.

However, feel free to demand strict gun bans as loudly as you wish. Nothing will happen except gun rights groups will receive a windfall in fundraising. The NRA thanks you.

I would also note that strict gun bans are definitely not consistent with the actual Democratic Platform concerning firearms.

Firearms. We recognize that the individual right to bear arms is an important part of the American tradition, and we will preserve Americans' Second Amendment right to own and use firearms. We believe that the right to own firearms is subject to reasonable regulation. We understand the terrible consequences of gun violence; it serves as a reminder that life is fragile, and our time here is limited and precious. We believe in an honest, open national conversation about firearms. We can focus on effective enforcement of existing laws, especially strengthening our background check system, and we can work together to enact commonsense improvements—like reinstating the assault weapons ban and closing the gun show loophole—so that guns do not fall into the hands of those irresponsible, law-breaking few.

7. So then, if you really wanted to empower gun advocay groups; then you'd call for bans, too.

Not to mention driving up the NRA's membership every time they open their mouth.

That's the funny part, thanks to your side, we don't have to do or say anything and they keep racking up record high NICS background checks and sales month after month. Over 200,000 new gun owners in Illinois alone in the last 2 years, from 1.7 million FOID card holders to 2 million in about 20 months.

Thanks to your control minded efforts, and politicians calls to reinstate the now lapsed '94 so called "assault weapons" ban, the AR15 is now the most popular rifle in America.

(Of course in the entire country there are only 280 murders committed with any kind of rifle in a year, but keep trying to ban it.)

Smith & Wesson, DPMS, Bushmaster, Stag Arms and a host of other manufacturers would probably like to put on a second or third shift at the plants. That is if they can find enough good union machinists for the quality of work they need.

Just keep listening to what Nanny Bloomberg tells you to do.

You really think you have the public on your side for strict bans?
Better think again.
