(23,664 posts)1. I took my 16 y.o. daughter there 30 years ago and what a disaster
She jammed a gun, quickly lost interest, and started flirting with the younger guys who were there. Never again!
Now, her youngest daughter (my granddaughter) was a totally different story. She couldn't get enough. Her daddy used to be a city cop and he took her all the time but she still pestered me to take her as well. Every time she'd come out to our place she wanted to go out and shoot gophers. Now she has a 2 year old daughter and if I'm still around when she gets old enough to go maybe I can take her.

(15,396 posts)3. My daughter didn't want to go to the range, instead we shot the bow
in the back yard, and later played softball in the front yard...
She insisted on going fishing yesterday so there was no shooting this weekend.
