they've had a shutout sweep of a series thrown at them. The fact that it was done by the Giants is just some great icing on the cake..

This is as good a Giants team position by position as we've had since the Bonds era..no real help outside of possibly shoring up the bullpen is needed. Now though, I'm getting worried Sabean will find some way to screw it up by dangling Hector Sanchez out there. I'm already reading the speculation. I just dread the trade deadline now.

I know, I shouldn't be taking material like that seriously, but I'm paranoid about the Giants GM.. Sabean has done a great job building the team during this past off season, but he's made some serious trade deadline blunders over the years. And you know with the way Sanchez has been playing...he's going to get more than his share of inquiries.

Sanchez is playing great for a "back-up catcher" -- good enough to start, really. Plus he's young and cheap and tough as nails. They won't let him go.
