But Oh my, read this....
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had a prior family commitment and won't be at the White House today as Patriots are honored in Washington by President Barack Obama.
Brady has made three previous White House visits with the team after championships following the 2001, 2003 and 2004 seasons. All of those were with President George W. Bush, so he'll miss the chance to meet Obama today with the rest of the team.
Brady was a guest of Bush at the President's 2004 State of the Union speech.
The ceremony with the Patriots is expected to begin after 2 p.m. this afternoon. You can watch the livestream at CSNNE.com.
Patriots QB Tom Brady attended President Bush's State of the Union address last night and was recognized for the team's community work. In Boston, gossip columnists Fee & Raposa note First Lady Laura Bush "personally invited Brady" (BOSTON HERALD, 1/21). WNBA Fever F Tamika Catchings also attended the speech by special invitation (THE DAILY). http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Daily/Issues/2004/01/Issue-84/Law-Politics/State-Of-The-Union-Bradys-Appearance-Draws-A-Bunch-Of-Reax.aspx
So......I guess he didn't attend this celebration because he had a "family engagement". Yah right. Ugh.....
