aging. Today's autos give you a lot of the advantages of manual, but not quite the same.

I have a 1.8T now, but have owned a couple 2.0s, Really love a high revving small engine, relatively light vehicle.

I'm 71, have never owned an automatic, and HATE renting cars because I am forced into an automatic, most of which are total crap. Yes, I realize these are rentals, but still.

I long ago decided that when I can no longer drive a stick it will be a clear sign I need to stop driving.

My current car, for what it's worth, is a 2017 Honda Fit I bought a bit over a year ago. It replaced a 2004 Honda Civic I bought in 2007.
