Muldowney was top fuel world champion decades ago. Women in drag racing is nothing new.

Was racing before Garlitts moved to infront of the engine, everyone laughed until he won, She had an engine blow once and it fused her eyelashes to her cheeks. She had to have them trimed so she could see. Tough woman.

One of drag racing's top three premier divisions. She has won more championships than any woman in NHRA history and is just one behind the all time NHRA Pro Stock championship winner, Warren Johnson.

Brittany Force is currently the points leader in NHRA Top Fuel going for her 2nd championship. Motorsports is the only sporting discipline where women compete head to head against men
