Friends have one, a small one but not cheap, about 200k. It's been in for repair several times and the warranty seems to cover nothing. They hesitate to take it on a long trip because they worry about a breakdown. So they go 50 to 100 miles from home and hang out for the weekend. Glad I never gave in to the impulse.

What we mainly learned is that most manufacturers' profit derives from short cuts and false economy. Crappy materials, poor designs and specifications, and slipshod assembly, and the ones with the best reputations are the ones we can't possibly afford. Most owners will likely use their RVs and trailers just a handful of times, maybe a couple times a year, and they're built to reflect that.
