Mon Frère, Mon Ami, Mon Cher,

Yes, Orthodox Old Calender Feast of the Nativity/Christmas--Eve tonite and Day tomorrow! We leave up our exterior lighted wreath, lighted tree.

I've been known to leave up all decorations inside and out [back home that was] until Old Calendar New Year and beyond! 😁 One year, a natural wreath I continued to leave on our third floor porch [Baba's house] was questioned by patrons in the barber shop across the street. Was kidded by the barber [a cool guy]. It was March. I had a nest of House Finch in there and couldn't disturb it. I watched them through the door's upper glass portion. So memorable and darling! One day gone, flew the coop. The barber and his patrons thot I was kooky. Which I am, but not in that instance!

We commemorate Christmas on 25 December now, but used to celebrate on 07 January several decades ago. Back then we'd have Covenant Congregational in-law and Roman Rite family's on the 25th and the Orthodox Slavs on the 7th. 😊 What's not to love!

Today liturgical [Gregorian] calendar is The Theophany/Epiphany--God manifested when Jesus was baptized in the River Jordan by John the Baptizer.

A Blessed Day to you and yours! 😍
