Red Letter Christians gear up for UK launch

From the article:

The evangelical movement known as Red Letter Christians, still a relatively little-known, left-leaning counter to the Christian right in the United States, is breaking new ground at the invitation of Christian activists in Britain. Next summer, the group’s founders will help launch a new branch of the movement in the U.K.

By just focusing on the words of Jesus, old time religions are having a fit. All of their loop holes are in the OT and Paul.

My view is that many are more Paulists than followers of Jesus.

Jefferson eliminated all but the words of Jesus, which is not at all what you claimed as his motivation.

Jefferson eliminated all the hocus pocus from the NT, including many “words of Jesus”. One doesn’t have to guess at his motivation because he stated quite clearly he removed the “nonsense”. Since he created it exclusively for his own use, it’s pretty silly to suggest he did it for any reason other than parsing out what he liked and trashing what he didn’t.

"God is in everything. Everything is part of god." Are you sure you're a theist? Perhaps you're really a naturist. Perhaps your deity is just everything around us and us, as well.

You do seem to have difficulty in explaining what it is that you actually believe or have faith in. Why don't you think about it for a while and then get back to us with some sort of statement of belief, so we'll be better able to understand where you're coming from.

Maybe the Universe just created itself, see. Maybe there is no "Creator." Maybe it's all just a natural phenomenon that has nothing to do with any sort of sentient deity. Think about it, Guy. Really. Let us know what you actually believe, OK?

However there’s significant scholarly study on what Jesus didn’t say and was instead inserted into various gospels for various reasons by other people. It’s a far easier puzzle to solve.

was dead and gone. It was written by people at least two generations from the time that Yeshua supposedly lived and spoke.

It's all a Biblical game of Telephone. Who knows what that man said? Nobody knows.
