Laurence Sherr, Sonata for Cello and Piano-Mir zaynen do!, World premiere

We were in the car, listening to classical music station when a cello sounded a bit like Kol Nidrei. But not exactly. Slow Cello. Next, came the music of the Warsaw Ghetto Partisan hymn.

So now I was curious. We arrived home and I rushed to open the radio until it ended.

It is a relatively new piece with the above title.

The World Premier was, apparently, in 2015 with comments form the composer. I think that we got to it at the 29:00 minutes.

The song is actually sung at the 8:00 mark.
