Even when they would a hyoid bone they still hung on to the bullshit that they were inferior to moderns. This predates the vaunted notion that only moderns were intellectual and had culture. (36,988 posts)as do other anthropologists. I saw this story a few days ago in science and anthropological news sites and read comments and opinions that pointed out the problems with this story.
Such as when the cave was discovered and then the recording of the painting. The need for money at the dig and many more poignant facts that make the discovery somewhat dubious.
