I think I know why Scott Brown is ahead in Mass.

I'm thinking these voters just don't like FEMALE candidates running in that state.Look what happened to Martha Coakley even though she was a horrible candidate which is why I don't understand any Kennedy's wanting to run for Teds seat. Our side have a lot of females running this year lets see how this pans out in November http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/17/scott-brown-elizabeth-warren-poll_n_1282277.html

I am not quite yet worried at this moment. I have strong hope that our side will pull through in this particular race.

People who have been following her for years (see special features in MM's SICKO) know who she is and where she came from. But she needs to drill it into the boneheads that have 30 second attention spans.

When people hear that she teaches at Harvard they tune out. Got to find a way to keep them interested.

My congresswoman, Nikki Tsongas.

I think Elizabeth Warren will win this in the end. It's still early in the race. A different poll had her ahead last week. Neither candidate has been advertising much yet, and Brown is the incumbent. That naturally gives him an early edge. Let's just see how this plays out.

I don't think gender matters at all, especially given how liberal Massachusetts is. The two reason Brown won was because 1) It was a special election with very little time for candidates to campaign and 2) His opponent did an awful job.

Given he did support Obama on some things, I would guess a Tea Party whackjob would run against him or even better as a 3rd party independent.

I tell you people around here get so out of wack any time a poll comes out that isn't to their liking. Brown is very vulnerable and Warren is a strong candidate and if you paid attention to the last election you'll know why Coakley lost--she was out hustled on the campaign trail. She took the election for granted. She went on vacation at one point during the campaign. Warren isn't going to be that stupid. Also, This isn't a 'special election' this is a real presidential year and many more democrats are going to come out in an overwhelmingly democratic state. Obama is going to win by probably 700,000 votes and Warren will be greatly benefited by this.

No, women candidates are not the reason. We have had lots of 'year of the women' where female candidates have won many elections. I'm not worried about 'our side have a lot of females running this year lets see how this pans out in November.'
