and I was skeptical of Sharon Hills' promise to do away with homework in the same campaign.

I lump Gingrich's latest promise into the same "pie-in-the-sky" category. And give it as much intellectual gravitas as I accorded Sharon and Darryl's.

stripping oil/gas subsidies, ending foreign meddling for fuel importing and based on a HUGE nationwide conversion to renewable and clean energy.

Is that what he is proposing?
