2016 Postmortem

Vice President Joe Biden today predicted that Hillary Clinton will be his party's presidential nominee, even though the Democratic primary is still underway.
I feel confident that Hillary will be the nominee, and I feel confident shell be the next president, Biden said in an exclusive interview with Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts.
The vice presidents comments came during an interview with Roberts about his Cancer MoonShot initiative. President Obama earlier this year announced Biden would lead a "moonshot" endeavor to cure cancer, a disease that claimed the life of his son Beau.
Biden, who decided against a 2016 run of his own, has refrained from endorsing Clinton or her Democratic opponent, Sen. Bernie Sanders, in this election, but his statement is the most direct acknowledgement from inside the White House that Clinton will clinch the nomination.

(30,439 posts)Then Biden said that Bernie had a good message...then Bernie supporters pulled him out from under the bus.
Now with his statement today, he will be thrown under the bus again.

(51,093 posts)I hear tonight they are screening a "Godfather" marathon down there.
Rachel is bringing the cocktails, Liz Warren and Obama are doing the salad and the Pope is signed up for the dessert.
It's a happening place!

(27,863 posts)I don't remember the particulars because they didn't add up, but it had something to do with a brokered convention if Hillary didn't have enough votes and it was going to be stolen away from Bernie by none other than Uncle Joe.

(49,496 posts)declare "I'm With Her" Hillary will become unbeatable in the GE. However, as it currently stands, the inflated ego of a defeated opponent, forestalls the inevitable.

(12,448 posts)Rachel once did a segment about how everyone, Democrats and Republicans, like him. She showed Lindsey Graham...Lindsey Graham in tears when he talked about Joe's pain on the death of his son. She commented on how rare, almost unprecedented, his popularity is among his colleagues.
I'm SO glad he's said this! Thanks for posting, Bill.

(30,058 posts)will be out and campaigning for Hillary along with the others, our best chance to have the Clinton/Obama legacy expanded to another 8 years. They will be on board, I even expect a shot in the arm from Sanders, Trump is not good for the USA and a Republican president will send us back into a tailspin.
