2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI do not care who our candidate is...
Really, I don't.
Bernie and Hillary have different good and bad points, but in the end either one of them would be infinitely better than Trump.
At the moment, it seems Hillary will be the candidate, and I will gladly vote for her as a voice of reason and experience over a loudmouthed bullshitter.
Should Bernie manage to pull it off, I will gladly vote for him for his vision of how the the future should be.
And I will work for the candidate up to the election.
That is all.

That said, I can't agree that Hillary is "infinitely" better than Trump. In some important areas (e.g., hawkishness) she's worse. Both are corrupt beyond description.
Bernie is infinitely better than either of them.

I am not orgasmic over Hillary, nor do I think Bernie is the be all and end all. However, our system rarely allows the best to rise over the mediocre with big campaign cash. Never has, really, and whenever we got a decent President, it seemed almost by accident.
I'm not holding my nose. I'm used to the smell.
