2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumBernie staying in the race adds one very important aspect that Hillary (& msm) supporters ignore.
We have 2 Democrats bashing Trump every single day.
What does Bernie say in every rally for those that you who do not listen--- (paraphrasing)
Trump will never be elected President. No one is going to elect a man to be President that is a racist, a homophobe, a xenophobe, that makes fun of people with disabilities or our veterans.
And a reminder, says Bernie, that Donald Trump helped create the Birther movement to try and deligitimize our first African American President.
Love trumps Hate and that is why Trump will never be elected. He goes on for about 5 minutes ranting against Trump, and the crowd loves it.
This is nothing new with Bernie. He has been going after Trump since day one.
All the people at Bernie's rallies have heard his rant. Along with most of his supporters.
Hillary is attacking him as well - she is even beginning to run ads against Trump.
Between Bernie and Hillary it's 2:1 defining Donald Trump from the Democratic side.
And that is a good thing.

(26,060 posts)very disappointed. And your glee at even the notion of an indictment tells everyone all they need to know about you. Pathetic.

(375 posts)This reflects your ideals? This inspires you? Really? I thought a lot of people were going for Bernie because he was leading them to something larger than themselves.

(19,877 posts)Nice way to point out that its Hillary vs 2 guys and shes beating them both by millions of votes.
Also, this proves that no one is attacking Bernie.

I'm sorry, but this kind of argument is so dumb. People socialize across political lines.

(90,371 posts)... stance on HRC up at all and the DNC is now some "rigged" system that the long shot black guy won with in 2008.
If Sanders was consummately on Trump I'd give it to him but some shit he says is over the top

I'm glad Bernie and Elizabeth Warren, among others, have been doing the baiting there, if for no other reason than with Trump's extremely personal attacks against her and her family aren't going to play well to a lot of people.
Remember, Trump writes his own ads against him:
nadinbrzezinski
(154,021 posts)Sanders did indeed attack trump
uponit7771
(90,371 posts)... which hurts her too and his "riggged" claim when it comes to the DNC.
We'll see

(154,021 posts)Because this has been one of the least nasty runs for office I have seen. 2008 there were more blows...for example. That is my conclusion at this point. All you guys are 18 year olds just paying attention to this for the first time. Can't wait for the summer. I promise cookies and milk when it gets too bad
uponit7771
(90,371 posts)... I don't think Clinton deserves the net negative from Sanders supporters or grass roots.
There have been intimations even here there's no difference between an overt racist, sexist asshole in tRump and Clinton and Sanders himself said recently that she may be the least of two evils.
There's no rational argument that's she's right of center seeing her life's work on progressive issues, she's certainly not more left than Sanders by a mile but that doesn't disqualify her.
I like the 72% number from the other pool in regards to Sanders supporters voting for Hillary...
Makes me think a lot of RFing is going on in the DNC in regards to Hillary's likability

(68,825 posts)"While Mr. Sanders says he does not want Mr. Trump to win in November, his advisers and allies say he is willing to do some harm to Mrs. Clinton in the shorter term if it means he can capture a majority of the 475 pledged delegates at stake in California and arrive at the Philadelphia convention with maximum political power.
Tad Devine, a senior adviser to Mr. Sanders, said the campaign did not think its attacks would help Mr. Trump in the long run, but added that the senators team was not thinking about the possibility that they could help derail Mrs. Clinton from becoming the first woman elected president."
Yeah from the horses mouth...hurt Clinton. How about she is the lesser of two evils? he said that ...on Sunday...just listen to any speech. Oh and Weaver said that all the Donalds attacks on Clinton were true...yesterday...I have come to despise Sanders because of his behavior.

This quite often happens in the game and births many come from behind victories.
It happened two weeks ago for Sporting KC (The Greatest team in AMERICA!).
You Red Card Bernie too soon and you're down a man when you may need him the most.
This is another positive that the Dem party needs to embrace and STOP trying to bully him out of it.
Demsrule86
(68,825 posts)Trump and the GOP would be down a man...as Sanders attacks Clinton -not Trump.

(68,825 posts)I heard Bernie on the Sunday shows...it was Trump who? He bashed Hillary from start to finish...so what we have is Trump and Sanders teaming up to attack Hillary...Weaver even said Trump's attacks against Hillary were true yesterday...who needs 'help' like that? Sanders seems to dislike Hillary way more than Trump...go figure.
