That is the only word for fox debate between the dump and bernie.

CorkySt.Clair
(1,507 posts)That would seem to be the critical difference between the two situations.

(40,416 posts)Good to see you, too, my friend.
I no longer post in a certain group, and I find GD.P mostly a toxic waste dump. There is little else to comment on. But I am here every day, usually just railing at the childishness.
I hope you are well, too.
okasha
(11,573 posts)but back to the easel this week.
I've posted maybe two or three times in that group lately, not posting as much here, either. DU is no longer a reliable site for news. I still miss the Esteemed Horse--that's severe nostalgia, I suppose.
Glad you're doing well, amigo.

(68,869 posts)Trump and the winner of the Democratic primary is expected. This is just to hurt Hillary our nominee and the Democratic Party...they should take away every concession they gave Bernie now and tell him to f himself...he is now on Trumps team. One can only hope California Dems will be so offended by Sanders it will backfire on him. And he loses badly...then we never have to see this traitor who calls himself a progressive but is no such thing.
AgingAmerican
(12,958 posts)The primaries are still going and she has yet to sew up the nomination
Demsrule86
(68,869 posts)and It will be official about 8:00 pm on June 7th...before California comes in.

(53,978 posts)He should have said: "No, I will not be be a part of undermining my party and it's primary process.
My party's nominee should be the one to debate the Republican Party's nominee.
And since I intend to be the nominee so I will debate Mr. Trump, but at a later date as the nominee."
AgingAmerican
(12,958 posts)She and her supporters have no place whining about it.

(53,978 posts)debate serve since he has no chance to catch her?
But it's all water under the bridge now as Trump has pulled a "Lucy" and pulled the football away at the last minute.
AgingAmerican
(12,958 posts)So she will now have to be in the audience.
AgingAmerican
(12,958 posts)That is the only word to explain Hillary's supporters coming apart at the seams over the proposed debate.

(8,791 posts)Has this ever happened before? Most primary candidates have the good sense not to help the other party's opponent
Bernie is making himself a laughing stock. I don't care so much about that. But I do care about him hurting the party's chances in November.

No it's just weird. No runner up primary candidate has ever pulled a stunt like this and it's odd.

(68,869 posts)You can't see past the primary...there is a GE and that counts way more than Bernie's spite and anger. Bernie Sanders is endangering the general with his antics.
AgingAmerican
(12,958 posts)This is exactly what I'm talking about!
okasha
(11,573 posts)1. It will become a contest to determine which of the two can out-shout and out-rude his opponent. Trump will win. Size matters, and the Talking Yam has the larger ribcage.
2. They team up to attack Hillary.
In either case, Sanders will be a caucus of one come January, stripped of his committee assignments with nary a chairmanship in sight and an office in a remodeled restroom stall.

(8,791 posts)Frankly I hope Howard Dean runs against him for his Senate seat.

You know you're not making sense, right?
AgingAmerican
(12,958 posts)Why are you guys so thoroughly flummoxed then?
Most likely because Hillary chickened out of the debate herself...
okasha

Though I doubt his staunch and most vocal supporters will cheer ... once they figure out he is doing it to benefit the Democratic Party, i.e., HRC.

(10,893 posts)dragging Clinton's name through the mud and granting Sanders some free airtime, I have no idea what constructive purpose a debate between him and Trump would serve. And even Jill Stein on Twitter has been asking for herself and Gary Johnson to be included in that debate. What a joke. They might as well also include Rubio, Cruz, Chaffee, Carson, and the rest of the also-rans, too.
JCanete
(5,272 posts)If you're someone like me, and you don't understand what the problem is with having this debate, a post that sums it up in such eloquent terms has no effing value at all on a discussion board. Why do it? just... what is the point? Literally, over and over with these kinds of posts, I have to respond asking a question, "what do you mean..." "how is it the thing you are saying?" because your post and others are actually devoid of information ... they've laid out no debatable position ... they can't be built upon, supported with evidence or deconstructed because they are amorphous blobs of vitriol.
So...I guess...thanks for the effort?

I think if it happens it will ruin Sanders name forever not unlike Nader ruined his by helping George W get elected.
