Related: About this forumHillary is "supremely qualified" and a "wonk" but doesn't know how to use a computer to check email?
Well that inspires confidence.

(2,064 posts)the blurbs I've read make her look as detached from normal life as Queen Elizabeth II.
She has underlings do everything short of wiping her butt, and I'm not so sure they don't perform that function as well. she went into politics to get rich... She certainly succeeded.

(10,164 posts)It wouldn't surprise me to know she's read about Hillary's troubles and smirked, "Bloody noob..."

(4,229 posts)The picture I get from the emails is somebody who is as you describe. Royalty. Who receives her info filtered thru a group of sycophants who have their own agendas.
A lot of times, Hillary would snap her fingers and go, Gum. And Huma would fetch it. Abedin took her duties so seriously, the source recalled, that when she learned that Clinton had once carried her own bag up a flight of stairs in her aides absence, Abedin nearly burst into tears.
Insiders understand that if they want anything from Clinton, they need to hit Abedins direct number first. Says New York financier and Clinton supporter Alan Patricof, I don't even waste time trying to find Clinton directly. I only would go to Huma. Its like talking to Clinton. On the campaign trail, Abedin still travels everywhere with the candidate. She does some bag-schlepping, but her job has evolved: She carries her own purse (she has a collection of designer it bags), but tucked inside it is Clintons cellphone. Even aspiring first husband Bill has reportedly complained that he cannot get past Abedin.

(34,845 posts)She is obviously not in it to get rich. Otherwise, she'd have as many mansions and cars as Romney.

(2,064 posts)They've got tens of millions in real estate.m as for yachts & jets, why buy or lease when you can ride for free? Plus the CGI pays for a charter anytime they need one so why buy?
And then there's Bill's little trips to Jeffrey Epstein's private island, apparently populated by young ladies of undetermined age.
Seriously, compare their lifestyle to that of Jimmy Carter, another president who came into office with only moderate wealth. The Clinton's got rich from politics. Whether it was all legal remains to be seen, but denying their exorbitant wealth and access to TAX FREE FUNDS for travel or to employ associates with sweetheart 6-figure pretend jobs? Seriously? They used the system for personal enrichment, not the betterment of the downtrodden. And millions of progressives like myself are NOT cool with that.

(34,845 posts)But, again, yes, they've been very successful but much of Clinton's earnings have been funneled directly into the Clinton Foundation. I'm sure you're on board with seeing that public charity organization as some sort of nebulous slush fund but I don't think so.
They aren't anywhere in Romney's league as far as riches go. And they don't spend their time flaunting their success.

That she couldn't be taught in less than 30.minutes so instead had to set up an elaborate private system?
She's a polished professional at the top of her game. I don't believe her story one bit.

(10,007 posts)However, since she was Secretary of State with a law degree from Yale, I would expect - nay, demand - that she be law-savvy.
She either wasn't, which means she was unaware that she was breaking the law, or she was, which means she knew she was breaking the law and did it anyway.
(And ignorance of the law is no excuse...)

(10,164 posts)She's "qualified" in the sense of it being legal for her to run...and that's about it. Her "extensive" resume' is one of mediocrity at best, outright failure at worst.

(59,511 posts)can answer detailed questions well on policy. That is what a wonk is.
But, I have long thought of her as the nose to the grind stone A student, not the creative, inventive genius who also takes the time to learn the material, but who is able to then synthesize something new out of it. Clearly either of those is better than what Trump could be described as.
I suspect that her lack of computer know how is coming more from a "I have people who do that" attitude.
