Rendell: Dems short $10M for convention
By Jessie Hellmann
The Democratic Party is millions of dollars short of the money it needs to host the Democratic National Convention in July, A key Democrat told Buzzfeed on Friday.
Ed Rendell, a former Pennsylvania governor and chairman of the Philadelphia 2016 Host Committee for the DNC, told Buzzfeed the party is $9.5 million short of its $64 million goal.

Another source told Buzzfeed the deficit is closer to $16 million.
"It's a legitimate gap, but we're touching every base to fill it," Rendell said.

Maybe if they hadn't siphoned 99% of the Hillary Victory Fund to Hillary and used it for the DNC as promised..

(250 posts)Good, maybe the letter/survey I filled out and returned will let them know why my money will no longer support their corporate owned asses. I filled out and explained that since it has become abundantly clear my party has stop representing me, they will never get my contribution. They only have themselves to blame. FUCK 'EM!!!
Once they get rid of Loan Shark Debbie and the rest of the sell out political leaders, maybe I will help. Until then, never. No more DINOs.

(806 posts)To put this in perspective, Bill Clinton's entire campaign in 1992 cost around $100 million - now there's been inflation since 1992 but not THAT much. I'd sure like to know what accounts for the convention costing $64 million - there's no paid speakers or big name entertainment and the delegates pay their own travel expenses.
