Just signed up for a monthly donation to the Hillary Victory Fund. I have a question.

I was cold called and asked to sign up for a monthly donation to Hillary's campaign. I've given to Hillary three times already and Bernie four times so I figured, why not make it monthly. Right? So I did.

It sounded like a great plan.

Then, during the end of the phone call, the gentleman told me that funds could be used for any candidate or something like that.

I was born with profound hearing loss, so I may have misunderstood. But when they say that, they mean any DEMOCRATIC candidate? Right? Or is it literally any candidate? I was wanting the money to go to either Hillary or if she has plenty, then for it to go to the down ballot races. Is that how it works? It will go to Hillary or to our efforts to take back the House and Senate right? There isn't a way that Republicans or anyone like that could use the money?

I know there are a lot of campaign experts here, and so I figured this was the best place to ask this question. I know this is a stupid question and I should have asked the gentleman on the phone, but I'm really hard of hearing. Please, please, please don't jump on me for asking a stupid question.

THIS HAS BEEN ANSWERED! And the answer is that this is for Democrats only!!! Plus they gave me this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillary_Victory_Fund

It was exactly what I hoped it was!

Thank you so much guys!

So it goes specifically to down ballot democrats or will it be split between down ballot and the general election?

Again, thank you for your answer!

I didn't know fundraising organizations would even have a wiki, much less one so detailed. This all sounds like exactly what I hoped it was!

Thank you! I marked the thread as having been answered and what the answer was. Thank you! I feel dumb for not finding this wiki page myself lol.

The rules are pretty stringent about how it can be collected and distributed.
