(110,159 posts)Literally, the joy Sanders has given me in insight and focus has been such a gift in growth. We do continue to talk about him, as he continues to do stuff that has us talking about him.
Btw. I do not buy the script that any news is good news.

(34,186 posts)It is fascinating.
Many HRC supporters wanted Bernie to be relevant by endorsing and speaking for HRC 1 or 2 months ago, but Bernie stayed relevant by taking his agenda to the platform committee and helping to make the party more attractive to his supporters.
And that will help Hillary win the election.
You might not like his tactic but his actions have shown liberals who are not fond of HRC that the Democratic Party is with engaging, influencing, and supporting. It's really a lot better than him merely saying we should vote for HRC and taking a vacation.

(110,159 posts)He is owning our Democratic platform and from the start of the race he did the same. He does not own our Democratic platform we have been working on for decades, as he has been rewarded by all the hard work.
How you see it is different from how many see it.
It is not a pretty picture. There are still lessons. I appreciate insight. Value it. Crave it. And Sanders is providing.
Hence, me using message boards for discussion, and Sanders being top on the list. Today, anyway. Tomorrow, who knows.....
Sanders endorsement has become worthless. The best we do is get it over with now, or do not do it at all.
That makes his endorsement irrelevant.
That is what we say, when using the word irrelevant. It doesn't matter one iota if Sanders endorses or not.

(28,270 posts)I can't wait to see the purists tear each other apart, like they have tried to do to all the non-believer democrats for the last many months.
I will cherish each and every tear!

(2,586 posts)then actively campaign for HRC and a long list of other (hopefully select) Democrats. All this annoying talk about how Bernie is being egotistical in waiting for when HE thinks it wisest, or whatever has only ONE predictable effect: alienating Bernie's voters, who I doubt are already 81% on board, as one highly cited poll suggests. I think it is very important to maximize that percentage, at least in the swing states, and all this negative focus on Bernie is hampering that goal

(110,159 posts)That is not the purpose.

(110,159 posts)It would be nice to get it done, or don't do it at all.

(2,897 posts)That being said, I feel sorry for the staffer reading replies to Bernie's tweets. He is about to see some vicious things.

(1,446 posts)Can one support another candidate and still have an active campaign? What is he going to do without the Secret Service detail? Who will drive him around? I think he should remain a candidate indefinitely. He deserves it.
