Donald Trump Says He'll Protect Constitution's 'Article XII'

The presumptive GOP nominee, who was on Capitol Hill Thursday to charm rank-and-file Republicans and build party unity, told members he would be the "best constitutional president ever," according to Rep. Reid Ribble, R-Wisconsin, a Trump skeptic.

Rep. Mark Sanford, R-South Carolina, said Trump promised to protect several articles of the Constitution -- including "Article XII," even though the Constitution has seven articles.

"It was the normal stream of consciousness that's long on hyperbole and short on facts," Sanford told reporters after the meeting.

I mean, can you picture him talking to these Republican members of Congress, most of who are lawyers and studied the constitution, the rest of which have a working knowledge of the documents which our system of government is founded on (unless they're Tea Baggers then they are likely just as clueless as Trump) and here is this clown saying, "I'm going to be the best, the greatest constitutional President ever, I'll tell you bigly I'll be on the Constitution bras, Article XII, bam, I'll defend the shit out of article XII, it's gonna be yuge. The best Jerry, the best!"

I mean it's sort of like the movie "The Jerk" or that one with Peter Sellers "Being There" in that Trump is just fucking making it up as he goes along and while he's not beating Clinton...he's a hell of a lot closer than he should be if people had any sense.

He's probably talking about the Tenth Amendment, which curiously was labeled Article Xii of the Bill of Rights. Since the first two articles were not ratified, it became the Tenth Amendment.
