Is it trumppence or trumpence? Which is the noun, verb, adjective, or adverb, again? What about the superlative?
MineralMan
(146,356 posts)it with a double "p." The British are decidedly weird, though, although I don't want to colour them in a bad light or subject them to any dishonour. Still, they remain incapable of pronouncing words that end with the letter "r" properly, so I don't see how they deserve much credit for skill with the English language, which is only spoken property in the United States of America.
Plus, the British commonly mistake the trunk of a car for a type of footwear and the hood of the car for an antiquated women's hat.
