function way over her level. In spite of her rather "sweet" delivery, I've seen nothing to suggest she's particularly nice or caring or anything but shallow, uneducated and materially oriented, but in the end she's just a wife who's been dragged out of the background into a slimy husband's mud pit. Happens all the time, just usually not on national TV.

Was it for love or money, or some combination of the two, who can tell. Whatever, it shows a colossal lack of judgement to marry someone like Donald Trump and let him use you as political tool. I don't feel sorry for her in the least.

Her businesses will likely make more money.

If she wanted to remain anonymous, she shouldn't have tied herself to the billionaire and volunteered a speech.

I disagree with her choice of spouses, but she did not sign on for this and is clearly not well prepared or advised. That is on her husband and the campaign for putting her in this position. Politics at this level are brutal and she is not being protected AT ALL.

Nor am I a Clinton-basher of any stripe. Plus, Hillary (or Michelle) would never do anything that stupid. They were both first-rate legal minds in their own right and politically experienced by the time their husbands ran for President. Pretty sure they know how to write a basic fluff speech without cribbing.

One of the downsides to nominating an "outsider", I guess. Not vetted or battle tested yet. No way to know how they will perform under pressure.

She lied about her education. She lied about writing that speech. I don't feel sorry for her one minute.

13. I do think she contributed to the speech

And I believe she contributed the plagiarized part. Why, I don't see any speechwriters being fired - and that would be the easiest thing for the campaign to do if were a speechwriters fault.
Trump can't fire his wife so the campaign can only pretend that it was coincidence that she used almost the exact same words in three different sections of her speech as Michelle - which is of course totally unbelievable.

Typical Trump tactic - when caught red handed in a lie, double down.

But Michelle is a lawyer and knows better; she was not a lingerie model.
