(42,009 posts)even if hey have to create it. Maybe especially if they create it. Then they can be relevant and exciting, no matter if that excitement comes from creation of anxiety in the moment and ignores the later explanations and deeper understanding of what's going on.
And sadly we are shaped by those anxieties. And sadly The Donald is a master at manipulating them. I imagine the DNC, who does engage in manipulations, as does every politician and political campaign since democracy superseded royal rule, at least uses its collective prefrontal cortex to actually think and not just feel about what it says and does.

(58,785 posts)so far. Andrea thinks mere "fear and loathing" of Donald Trump "probably" won't be enough to "motivate" Sanders supporters. Supreme Court neither. Gee, I thought we started with 75-80% keeping Hillary as their backup from the very beginning, and somehow we slid downhill and hit bottom since then?
How often do MSM viewers have to be shocked by wildly different outcomes on election day than they were lead to expect before they finally turn these cynical deceivers off?

(58,785 posts)the day after the NH primary in 2008. The MSNBC crew went to NH to dance around Hillary's death bed, laughing and chatting while they awaited the results as if they were starting their third round of drinks. I tuned in the next day to see Mitchell's mien after months of trashing Hillary and predicting finally finishing her off. It was subdued. I like to think depressed.
I only occasionally turn them on to see what and how many lies they're pushing on the public, like the day Director Comey testified.

(3,284 posts)It's gotten to the point where I have to switch channels when I see her face. The woman seems consumed by an obsession to destroy Hillary. What happened to make her so hyper-focused on this?

(58,785 posts)it speculated that at some point their failure to take her down became personal for some of them.

(15,821 posts)to witness Ben Jealous' behavior. Not saying he doesn't have legit complaints, but he was acting like the stereotypical misogynist a-hole, belligerent and dismissive and over-talking. Way not cool.

(1,907 posts)They and cnn gave so much time and no questioning of what donnie said because they seemed afraid he wouldn't give them a interview. They knew if they gave him heat he would start whining and bar them. So they threw softballs to donnie and went after the democrats.
