That automatically makes ours a much better success story than the RNC.
There will be a few people who behave like children, but not enough to matter.

This past Friday, I did drive by the Independence Mall area and saw them setting up the MSNBC platform. One thing though - we are having a heatwave here (highest temps of the season so far) and have had a couple thunderstorms roll through, both yesterday evening and very early this morning, so it's gonna be a sauna this week!

mythology
(9,527 posts)The building could suddenly collapse, Clinton could suddenly develop aphasia, Kaine could have an undiagnosed case of Tourette's syndrome, there could be a terrorist attack, somebody could plagiarize Melania Trump's speech, we could have invited Ted Cruz, take a photo of a virtually all white set of interns and inadvertently show the world that the party is pretty much all white. Hell, we could have nominated somebody like Trump. Granted you'd have to go back to George Wallace to find somebody wanting to run as a semi-serious candidate on the left who was the equal of Trump, but still.
If the worst thing you can think of is a disgruntled Sanders supporter booing, your imagination is limited in my opinion. But I doubt there will be any significant disruption even if you count booing.

(60,536 posts)In days of old when the dead were laid out in the parlour of the family home, people, either out of respect or superstition, draped all the mirrors and windows of the house with black crepe. Professional "funeral" operators would begin to prepare for this ahead of time as they noted that there were local people nearing death's door. This gave birth to the term, "crepe hanger" to people who are compulsive worriers, anxious about things that have not yet happened. This "tradition" also gave birth to the use of black crepe for the manufacture of ladies mourning dresses, mens hat bands and arm bands, and funeral wreaths
Mothers who are constantly worried and over anxious about their children, husbands etc when they don't get home on time, and in their mind's eye see them in an accident, hospitalized, dead and themselves standing over a gravesite could be considered "crepe hangers."

(2,064 posts)if the GOP didn't experience significant disruptions, why would the DNC?
I read this morning that a 4-mile barrier has been deployed around the convention. I don't think you can get critical mass of protestors through to the heart of the convention area. And after a few folks get familiarized with the business end of a nightstick I think any other potential protestors will stand down. Just a hunch.
Demsrule86
(68,869 posts)And they don't have the votes...bunch of jerks...who if JPR posts are to be believed are planning on going for a third party candidate...some are undoubtedly Trump trolls.
