We all knew Hillary was a slam dunk, so why waste all that money on a convention. It could be used for voter outreach,hire youths to canvas their neighborhoods, identify unregistered voters or those needing assistance to get to the polls on the big day. That could build up a lot of good will and convince some fence sitters as well. Just an idea.

(12,650 posts)Who's going to do the outreach and GOTV drives, make phone calls, do all the scut work that need to be done if they haven't first gotten to know the candidate and been fired up!!?

(34,186 posts)To do all the things you say. They really aren't doing it for the money. Its thosse three thousand delegates who go back to all their counties with excitement.
Yeah its a a lot of money, but its probably worth it.
