2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI was wrong to call out the rowdy delegates. I apologize to those delegates.
I was afraid, at the time, they would be disrespectful to the nominee (and her daughter, even), but it didn't work out that way and it was largely respectful (I think I heard one time some people started in on her but the crowd shut them down with chants of "Hillary!" . It went better than I expected and thus I apologize for jumping the gun there.

(3,284 posts)but am so relieved it went well. If it wasn't for the "Hillary" chants, I don't think I would've been able to tell there were any protesters.

(32,342 posts)The other state's delegates got a message about the CA delegates chants and a message organizing counter chants.
I'm sure Norman Soloman, the ringleader, is eagerly firing up another fundraising appeal for his org, RootsAction. I'm on their list, so I'll be sure to share my feelings with them when it comes down the pipe.

(62,287 posts)I didn't even need to see that picture after how uplifting the end of it was. I hope those people never get rewarded for what they did. But it was respectful when Clinton spoke for the most part.

In the end, it doesn't really matter. It was a beautiful night.

(11,607 posts)I heard him interviewed on NPR earlier, and he did say that Bernie supporters in swing states should vote for Hillary. He said he will not do so in California but if he lived in a swing state he would. I didn't agree with some of the other stuff he said, but I did agree with that.
