(25,298 posts)he only praised Hillary,
On the other hand Bloomberg - who is little in stature - former Mayor of NYC - attacked Trump ferociously and called him a demogogue in his DNC speech.
When I heard Trump's comment about hitting the little guy it didn't register at first. Then I remembered that Bloomberg is often referred to as little and it dawned on me that that is who Trump might be referring to.

Bloomberg.

(2,097 posts)Bloomberg really slammed him, and from a really devastating point of view; he essentially said, "unlike Trump, I'm an actual billionaire -- and I got here without Daddy's money." That cuts to the core of Trump's narrative about himself.

(4,311 posts)They loathe each other. Bloomberg loathes Trump because he is classless and loathsome, and Trump loathes Bloomberg because Bloomberg could buy and sell him several times over.

If Trump is afraid of anything, he's terrified of Bloomberg spilling the beans on his business.

(4,311 posts)I would LOVE it if all the dirt came out. If Trump continues to rail against and bait Bloomberg, a story might just pop up in a newspaper or two.

(4,187 posts)hitting a "little guy" is cowardly. If someone wants to prove a point by hitting someone, they should hit someone who is the same size or bigger.
Second, anyone who is talking about hitting someone is probably a physically violent person who abuses his wife and anyone else around him who is weaker at every opportunity. In other words, anyone who talks like this is not only a coward but an abuser and a bully.
Finally, we're not in a bar here. This is not just some drunk guy at the local bar; he's a guy running for president of the United States. Why is he talking about hitting anyone? Why are Republicans putting up with this kind of talk?
