O'Malley's updated website has a lot of good info. Here's some of it on the economy:

Built an Economy that Works for Everyone

Strengthened Maryland’s Economy
Under Governor O’Malley Maryland ranked #1 for innovation and entrepreneurship for three years in a row, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Maryland also ranked as one of the top three states for economic mobility based on workers’ ability to move up the earnings ladder, according to the Pew Center on the States. And Maryland achieved a faster rate of job creation than its neighbors Virginia or Pennsylvania, who tried to cut their way to prosperity.

Raised Maryland’s Minimum Wage to $10.10
Governor O’Malley brought people together, forged consensus, and raised Maryland’s minimum wage to $10.10. Hundreds of thousands of Maryland workers will receive a raise, creating stronger customers for local businesses and good-paying, family-supporting jobs.

Protected Working Families
Governor O’Malley twice led the effort to expand Maryland’s refundable earned income credit, which puts more money in the pockets of working families. He also made Maryland the first state in America to pass a “living wage” for contractors working on state contracts.

Made the Tax Code More Progressive
In the midst of the worst economic downturn in history, Governor O’Malley reformed Maryland’s income tax. Today, 86% of Marylanders pay less in state income taxes than they did before Governor O’Malley took office.

I think a lot more will be coming out, his view on the issues, and I am really looking forward to it.

do you think he might be picked by Hillary to be her running mate if she is the nominee? I was wondering about that last night...

5. Probably not. Maryland is a blue state which will vote for the democratic candidate

anyway. She'll want someone from a swing or red state.

The country is ready for O'Malley's message. After all the failure of red state ideologies and the suffering of their people, there is some hope for a better way and a clearly articulated message about income inequality. O'Malley brings that and his relative youth (and executive experience) to the table.

of what I think are more important issues, yank.

I'm pleased to see 2 of my good DU friends agreeing about MOM's value. I further hope we all will recognize that Hillary doesn't help, at all, with what I think are critical issues: financials/wall street, she just WON'T (imo) seriously address the critical issues the relationships among tptb represent, and foreign policy. Her apparent 'hawkishness' turns me off. I'd hoped, in the past, she would encourage a Dem administration to make use of Wes Clark's wisdom and expertise, but as that hasn't happened, my hope is pretty much dashed.

vote when black males were granted that right in the 15th amendment. The message was pretty clear: "maybe later." It is also something shameful that we haven't had a woman president when countries all over the world have, and not just Margaret Thatcher.

I'm actually supporting Bernie now but I could just as easily support O'Malley. I like him and trust him. He's a good guy. But let's not discount the effect of passing over a woman for president once again. And of course, she has to be progressive. HRC is not Michele Bachmann or Sarah Palin...

The thing is, he got this legislation passed. He was able to get this done.

There is something to be said about a governor of a state like Maryland being able to get this important stuff passed into law.
Bernie and Hillary have not had the chance to do this.

O'Malley was a governor.

That makes me able to see a difference. He has a proven record on a state level that is very progressive.
