http://truthinmedia.com/bernie-sanders-shocking-clinton-campaign-mainstream-media/Network media has long decided that Clinton, who announced her presidential candidacy on April 12, 2015, via a YouTube video, would without question be the Democratic nominee. No other presidential contender on the Democratic side has received any comparable coverage.
Certainly that is true of former Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.), who is being all but entirely ignored by media. Former Democratic Maryland Gov. Martin OMalley has received a little coverage from the networks. But the real story is Vermont Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, who, despite having received little coverage from mainstream media of his campaign, is watching his poll numbers in New Hampshire climb....
So why is Sanders support growing, despite a mediaincluding print, broadcast, cable and internetthat is so Clinton-centric? The answer may be pretty simple. Senator Sanders isnt building his campaign based on Clintons weaknesses. Instead, he is focusing on issues that millions of Americansmany in the Democratic Partyare concerned over.

(3,357 posts)as people learn about him. I was telling an acquaintance the other day who I would be supporting in the primary and she said she never heard of him. She is a teacher. Scary.

(45,851 posts)That they will be hearing it soon and that I think he has a decent chance of being the next President.
I've had several of them now come back and ask me how I knew about him, that means they are much more likely to listen to me than if I try to push information on people.
You have to play the long game with people, plant the seed and then harvest the crop later.

(11,785 posts)but the positions he's held for years and the way he normally campaigns expose the weaknesses of anyone who runs a more "traditional" political campaign of safe sound bites and negative campaigning. If Hillary runs the same playbook she did in 2008, and she appears to be on track for that, she could easily lose.

(10,044 posts)But not real soon. We all know it's inevitable.
I trust Obama to make wise decisions on whatever TPP brings to the table, but he'll be out of office before all the details are worked out. I trust no republican to mess with it.
The Democrat I would trust most is Bernie Sanders because of his strong opposition to it. Him, I would trust. I would also trust Biden because he's not known for having Wall Street or Bank attachments .
