I have watched it twice.

I watch all the Bernie interviews and campaign

speeches on You Tube.

He never wavers.

I have went all the way back to 1989.

The man is consistent and honest to a fault.

He represents people, not corporations.

I find him to be sincere.

I base this assumption on his track record.

I admire and respect him.

It is truly outstanding. I mean, agree with the guy or not, you've got to admit he knows his stuff.

I also like how he isn't shooting out 'gotcha' zingers at the other candidates, but says, 'My position is....as to the other candidate she can tell you what her position is and then you can make your own decision.'

Bernie will do pretty well in (as in OWN) debates with candidates in the primary, and when it comes to the debates with the Republican opponents, he'll leave them in the dust.

I think Bernie can win, and of course am supporting him. We haven't had a guy like this running in decades. As someone in Salon or some such wrote, Bernie is who we hoped Obama would be when we elected him in 08.

Bernie has been consistent and honest for the last 40 years of public service. Everything he has said has been very consistent. He fights for the disappearing middle class, and fights for the rights of everyone except corporations.

That's one reason why I think Bernie is the smarter choice, apart from policy positions. Every time we peel off voters from the other side, that's like doubling our vote advantage. Bernie's appeal is simply broader.

and health care already seems to be going away as a dividing problem due to the ACA, the conservatives and the liberals have most of the same problems in common. Everyone but a few are losing buying power, both the left and the right dislike the NSA's domestic spying, etc. Both Republicans and Democrats are realizing that their candidates are not fixing a thing. They give speeches and talk the talk but none of them are walking the walk.

Everyone from conservatives to liberals are looking for change in the system. Bernie running for President in the General election could even get quite a few independents and third party candidates elected. Now wouldn't that get the two major parties to start paying attention!

It is more on the economic/social issues where he splits. Otherwise, he's not far from the Paul/Libertartian group. Assuming that Paul does not get the Republican nomination, there are a chunk of Republicans who, if Sanders gets that far, would have to choose between the candidate they prefer in foreign policy and civil liberties vs. the one they prefer on economic/social issues... and I would expect Sanders to get a good chunk of those. Especially since less affluent Republicans are probably not fans of Wall Street either. Nor are all Republicans stauchly pro-choice, for example. He could create an interesting coalition,

Bernie's retention number would be about 70-75% of the Republicans who aren't insane and generally lean liberal/moderate.

Of course it's going to be spun by the Clinton supporters as a Rush Limbaugh type ruse to keep Hillary from getting the nomination. No Republican could ever change their mind and vote for a Democrat. Yet these same people claim there is no way Sanders is going to win the primary.

So how many "infiltrators" would it take in states that have open primaries (assuming people don't change their registration) to change the outcome?

The answer, a lot more than people think. This is just another conspiracy theory put forward by people who can't use their brains.

By the way one of my friends who is Libertarian has stated he supports Sanders and thinks that all the Republican candidates are a joke.

I think if you watch the video and see the simpler explanation that ordinary people who know Bernie, even Republicans, admire his unparallelled ethics and candor. They know he won't sell them out for big bucks. He doesn't even have a Super Pac. I don't think a surreptitious strategic guile is a credible motivation, in view of the demeanor of these people, who appear sincere.
