Thom Hartmann told a tasteless, sexist anti Hillary joke on his show Thursday

The joke took the form of a letter to Ann Landers from a wife about a cheating husband who hasn't worked for 14 years, and thinks she might be a lesbian. The replay is to grow up and leave him since she is running for President. Now Hartmann is by any measure a supporter of Sanders over a long period of time. Is Sanders responsible for this? No he isn't. Nor is Hillary responsible for everything her supporters say or do. I can't link the item since I don't subscribe to his pod cast but I heard it twice on Sirius. Once live on Thursday and once taped today. He said it around 140pm.

He used to be scholarly and information-based, but then someone must have told him to be more like Ed Shultz and bloviate more. He started making more screeds than arguments, and to my ear sounded uncomfortable doing so.

I haven't followed him for quite a while. My take is that he knows what he is talking about, but is trying to hard to be "edgy" and it is detrimental.

I caught him occasionally over the years if I happened to rent a car with XM/Sirius and often agreed with his views. But I have a new car with XM so I have listened more in the last year. And he's a fear monger on economics. His views are close to a lot of far right views on the economy, and he's wrong. We are not headed to a major crash because of quantitative easing or sovereign debt. The economy of the US is doing well on its fundamentals right now. We need wealth redistribution. But we have a lot of weatlh.

Unfortunately, I suspect it is because he relies on gold hustlers for advertising dollars.

Dear Abby,

My husband is a liar and a cheat. He has cheated on me from the beginning, and, when I confront him, he denies everything. What's worse, everyone knows that he cheats on me. It is so humiliating.
Also, since he lost his job 14 years ago, he hasn't even looked for a new one. All he does all day is smoke cigars, cruise around and
shoot the bull with his buddies, while I have to work to pay the bills.
Since our daughter went away to college he doesn't even pretend to like me, and even hints that I may be a lesbian.
What should I do?

Democrats who are working to get Hillary elected. All three of them used very nasty talking points aimed at Bernie Sanders. IF they were not speaking for her, she should detach them from her campaign and do it publicly.

Hartmann is a radio host, I have no idea what he said or in what context, but there is simply no comparison between him, and those three who clearly had a talking point to deliver. Now who is paying for these talking points?

I think we need to put a stop to this kind of dirty politics. If someone who actually is part of Bernie's campaign and an elected Democrat ever joined the Republicans, as those three did, using a right wing talking point against a political opponent, I would want them OFF his team instantly.

I sure wouldn't be looking for a way to justify it. As you appear to be doing.

There is no justification for what they did, none. They are all prominent in the Democratic Party and it just disgusted people frankly.

Thom tends to fear monger quite a bit and prop up conspiracy theories, so if I hear him, I hear him with the assumption that I have to take whatever he says with a grain of salt. He also brought up Guy Mcpherson, a climate change professor that claims that the magnitude of climate change will multiply in magnitude fast enough for the end of humanity within 20 years. This is why I don't hear him often.

Instead, I hear Norman Goldman, which tends to stick to the partisan wars and social issues, as well as give great legal insight due to his 20+ years of practicing law. He's on WCPT and KTNF (available through internet radio apps like Ootunes.)
