(13,877 posts)just didn't think I'd see it in my lifetime. The two parties are archaic, each in their own huddled and muddled way.
Or, it could be that we need a parliamentary form of government, like many others, to create coalitions, etc. There goes the Electoral College.
It is fascinating...we could have a Socialist Democratic Party and a Uber Right Party...that would make four!!! Maybe a couple of other ones...say, the Leave Us Alone Party and the Who Gives a Shit Party. There are political equivalents to those parties way back when.
