Missing Olberman, but Bashir is coming on strong

Really appreciate all the clips from Martin Bashir's show. Keith managed to get in some zingers consistently, certainly with his "special comments", but Martin is so pointedly direct and wickedly sarcastic. I'm glad he'll be around this election season. The British accent makes his skewering even more entertaining.

enough about him to know the value & necessity of integrity in the news profession. He & the newsmen of that era, particularly Walter Cronkite, David Brinkley, Chet Huntley were truly society's watchdogs & an indispensable check against political corruption.

It was very appropriate that Keith ended his programs with Murrow's signature, "Good night & good luck." That signature represented integrity & honor. It should not be claimed by any other newsperson alive today other than Keith Olbermann. He did, indeed, fill Edward R. Murrow's shoes...tripled.

Welcome to DU, KOfan!

that skewers idiots with such precision, the mischievous twinkle in his eye, and his great choice of bumper music (he actually chooses it himself).

If you listen closely, the music always underlines the irony of whatever he's just been talking about.
