So I now have a Facebook account

OK, several months now. I hardly post, use it to read friends and family reports. But by mistake, several weeks ago, I "shared" the post from DU page. And then, a few weeks later, did it again this time on purpose. I thought it deserved sharing.

So now when I visit Facebook, these "Pics of the Moment" by EarlG are there, among other posts.

How does this happen? Don't mind, just curious. Some chocolate chips cookies, or something?

Doesn't being a DU member allow ones to visit?

I went there when DU was down, this year, not during the big election day hacking. I think that I even posted.

And then when I shared the images. Interesting, when I now went to DU Facebook, that "shared" image is still there, on top even though it has been many weeks since I shared it.

Only you can see it unless you choose to share the posts. Or if you Like them.

If you "like" a page on Facebook, you will receive their posts. So, if you "like" DU, you see DU posts. Also, you see your friends' posts. If Earl is a "friend" you will see his posts.

This, I think, also explains to me the Russians "news." I have a lot of ads on the side of the screen - Meryl Street and Robert Radford got married, the Obamas are divorcing, etc. so for a while I thought: why would anyone accept this?

But then there are news stories from other sources, like Du and the WSJ which I know are legit. Thus, if the Russians inserted bogus stories I can see why many thought they were true.

Oh well.
