(15,124 posts)I served on a jury yesterday and I frankly thought the post that was alerted on didn't break any rules. It might have seemed a close call to some but a painful "other opinion" that certain people just don't want to hear. I didn't agree with the post but I thought the opinion, critical thought it was, deserved to be heard. (If the point is to avoid pie fights, well then okay, censoring the post is okay, but if it's to eliminate all posting critical of fellow Democrats, I object on Constitutional grounds.) I think I might start noting the time of such posts and checking back later also.
I have only ever alerted on obvious trolls - the ones against me have always been extremely petty

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
