Michigan has a weed problem -- and consumers are loving it.

https://www.metrotimes.com/weed/cannabis-growers-and-regulators-confront-michigans-oversaturated-market-32899313

More than three years after legal recreational marijuana sales began in the state, the market is saturated with cannabis at bargain-basement prices.
The average price of an ounce of adult-use flower dropped from $512 in January 2020 to $80 today, according to the Michigan Cannabis Regulator Agency.

Adjusted for inflation that is better than the $15.00 " four finger lid" of Mexican in 1970. Chainfire Apr 2023 #4

That is a very difficult problem to deal with.

But I have been trying my best to do my part to fix that.

I remember in the mid-late 90s when I used to buy an ounce of flower for $75 and demolished it in a week.
Now every dispensary has daily deals, usually BOGO or 40% off. The gummies and vapes I use often go onsale two-three times a month. I just watch the sales when I'm getting close to running low, and can stock up for around $100 for a two month supply.

Perusing the local dispensaries, the prices here are comparable to those in MI. I’m not interested in pounds, however, since the airlines frown upon passengers bringing pounds of pot aboard their aircraft. They’re just funny that way.

They churn out "medical Marijuana" by the ton. However, if the local sheriff found a single plant on my property they would throw the book at me. That is Florida for ya.

That it’s become the new zucchini. You leave a bag on somebody’s porch, ring the bell and run.
