Recently introduced to RSO - would like to share a recipe.

I've had to cut back on leaf due to asthma, and have been using edibles. But as my tolerance increases, it's getting more and more expensive. I had a talk with the budtender, she introduced me to RSO, (Rick Simpson Oil), and I decided to make my own edibles.

I decided to make a batch of brownies, and I figured I'd dilute the RSO in the egg and oil for the batter before adding the dry ingredients. When I opened the syringe I discovered it was very thick and it did not dissolve all the way in the oil. I figured though, that once the dry ingredients were added it would distribute pretty evenly.

It did not, but a really funny side story here is that once I popped the brownies into the oven I licked the bowl and beaters....WOO LAWD! I must have gotten a fair-sized little clump of the oil that was stuck to the beater, because I was trippin' BALLS! The brownies turned out very hit-or-miss with the effects, due to uneven distribution of the RSO.

So I read up on cooking with the RSO and learned that I need to dilute it in WARM oil or butter before adding to the recipe. I also wanted to come up with an easy recipe for an edible that packs a big punch in a little bite, so I don't have to eat 2-3 brownies. Not good for my diet!

SO, long story made longer, here's what I came up with, THC Chocolate Coconut Haystacks.

In a metal saucepan, melt 1 teaspoon coconut oil over low heat. Remove from burner and add RSO oil. Stir until mixed. Add in one bag of dark chocolate chips, return to burner and melt over very low heat, very slowly, stirring constantly until melted, making sure to incorporate the coconut oil thoroughly. Remove from burner again and add in about 2/3 c sweetened shredded coconut, (add more or less according to your taste for coconut. You can substitute nuts to make nut clusters if you don't like coconut).

Mix well, scraping sides of pan to incorporate all of the infused chocolate into the candies. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper, making 30 stacks.

Refrigerate until hard, remove from paper and store in fridge in airtight container. Each candy is about 20 mg, no flour or added sugar, and they're fookin' yummy as shit! And only about 50c per 20mg candy, as opposed to $1.50 to $2.50 per storebought 10mg dosed candies.

Enjoy!

"In 2003, Rick Simpson created a cannabis oil after three suspicious bumps on his arm turned out to be basal cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer. Simpson had used cannabis to treat medical issues in the past, so he made a cannabis oil to treat his skin cancer topically, applying it to a bandage and covering the cancerous spots.

Within days, the cancerous growths disappeared. Although his physician refused to acknowledge cannabis as a treatment alternative, Simpson became a true believer in the medicinal powers of cannabis and spread the word of his cannabis oil, later called RSO after him."

"So far, Rick Simpson has written two highly influential books on the use of cannabis oil for medicinal purposes titled “Phoenix Tears - The Rick Simpson Story” and “Phoenix Tears – Nature’s Answer for Cancer”, which are available for purchase worldwide."
