Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumBefore this election cycle began I had two people on ignore.
I just counted. I now have forty.
How they plan to mend fences, I don't see it happening.

(7,499 posts)For years I never had more than one or two on ignore; now I have many, close to two hundred.
I never believed in censorship or shutting down discussion, but this primary has been so divisive and alienating that I prefer not to engage in confrontations that I know will not end well.
It hurts to have to say that, but that is how it is.

(14,177 posts)I can't stand double standards. If Bernie was even asked for directions from an FBI agent they would scream that he needs to drop out because the scandal will destroy the party. It's okay if it's Hillary being chased by dozens of agents though.

(11,546 posts)her supporters are pretty rude. And they think WE'RE bad! They are the rudest, most vile supporters I've ever come across.

(25,699 posts)I have a few egregious examples on ignore, but that's actually independent of hte primaries.

(20,886 posts)It's a small list. I only put on the people with the nastiest rants. They were nasty before the primaries and became even nastier during. they will probably stay on the list until they are eventually PPRed. I expect I will add the newbys as they arrive. They're worthless anyway.

(349 posts)I simply skim through the GDP threads and only read non-snarky replies.
How do I accomplish this?
Simple ...
I only read replies by those with a Bernie avatar.

(34,195 posts)I'm a Bernie supporter. I post pro-Bernie posts and anti-Hillary posts, yet I do not use any avatar.
(Used to use Buddha)
I just don't like to be labeled and pre-judged by anyone.

(349 posts)I miss out on a lot of great posts. It's just a shortcut that allows me to read the threads without seeing all the snark from the paid trollz

(11,945 posts)Never met a worse group of people.
I like to know what's going on, so I only put them on ignore if they seem flat-out nuts.

Anyone want to take bets as to how many banned members they get before the Dem convention? I'm betting 950.

(11,370 posts)They seem to think we'll all be banned.
Personally, I don't use ignore because it gives me the same uneasy feeling as people talking about me behind my back. I'd rather know what they're saying, even if it's nasty crap.

I guess habit is a hard thing to break.
I will definitely miss many people and not all are at JPR

(23,272 posts)Their comments, lies, and seething contempt for all things Bernie (and towards us his supporters) has been an eye-opener.
It's also a safe guess that most with an FDR, John Lennon or Wellstone avi are also Pro-Bernie.
